This is More Than Soap To Me

This is More Than Soap To Me

Hi, I'm Brandi. And if you're thinking about trying my soaps, I thought you should know a little about me first.

You'll quickly see that I truly love creating these soaps, take pride in every batch I make, and genuinely hope you love them as much as I do.

A few years ago, I moved to Nashville looking for a fresh start in life. I didn’t know many people, didn’t really know what the future looked like, and honestly was just trying to rebuild myself into the person I wanted to become.

I spent a lot of years living fast and not always taking care of myself the way I should have.

One of the biggest parts of my life is my daughter, Shelby.

She's 14 now and absolutely beautiful. She currently lives with her dad, but becoming a better woman, healthier person, and more stable version of myself has also been part of my journey for her.

I know I'm not the same person I used to be, and I hope as time foes on she continues to see that growth too.

At the end of the day, everything I'm building -- my peace, my home, my business, and my future -- is about creating a life that I can truly be proud of.

These days, life is still busy… but it’s a healthier kind of busy.

Now my happiness comes from things like hiking in the woods, playing in the garden, loving on my animals, listening to music while making soap, and creating a peaceful life that I can truly be proud of.

Soap making started out as something fun and creative, but it quickly became so much more than that. It became therapy for me. A way to slow my mind down. A way to create something with my own two hands.

I never imagined I would fall in love with it the way I have.

When I first moved here, I was fortunate enough to land a job that completely changed my life. I walked into my first day honestly just knowing I needed to work hard and stay focused.

Fast forward a few years later, and now I’m in a lead position that I truly take pride in. I love the people I work with, and I’m thankful every day for how far I’ve come.

Work is also where I met Glenn.

At first, I stayed focused on myself. I was working two jobs, driving for Uber on weekends, saving every dollar I could, and trying to build a future. I knew I wanted more out of life — I just didn’t fully know what that looked like yet.

Eventually, I finally let Glenn take me out… and I’m glad I did.

He’s one of the smartest and hardest-working people I know, and he helped me discover a slower and more peaceful side of life that I never really allowed myself to enjoy before.

Give us a hiking trail, some fresh air, and quiet woods, and we’re happy.

About a year later, I moved in with him and started building a life that finally felt stable and real.

Now instead of dreaming about buying a house alone one day, I’m dreaming about building the perfect little she shed — a space for making soap, planting flowers, creating new recipes, and probably making giant messes while doing it.

For the first time in my life, I feel like I found something I’m truly good at.

I’m still learning every day. Still trying new techniques, new ingredients, and new ideas. But I’m excited for the future and excited to continue growing Soap-Histicated into something special.

Thank you to everyone who supports my small business, whether you’ve purchased a bar of soap, shared a post, encouraged me, or simply followed along on this journey.

It truly means more than you know.
